There is just something so exceptionally creepy of horror movies made from the 1960’s, 70’s, and 80’s.
I loved such films as Rosemary’s Baby, The Shining, Poltergeist, Omen, Carrie, because the horror is arftful, subtle, yet horrific at the same time, which makes it even creepier.
Can anyone recommend any other films like this from this era. I remember when I was a kid in the 80’s, all these creepy movies would show up on T.V but then I don’t know what happened to them. I remember one (I can’t remember the name) but a marrionette doll comes to life and walks around the house and kills (yet the doll doesnt’ speak, which makes even freakier).
I’m not a big fan of typical bloody slasher/serial killer movies (Nightmare on Elm Street, although more funny than scary). Looking for more of that psychological, sublte scare. Any recommendations? What are some of the underrated ones that showed up as a T.V movie?
